Rustic Red Truck Wood Sign - WIN YOUR OWN!!

If I've said it once, I've said it hundreds of times - I love decorating for Fall and the upcoming holiday season!! Let's just face reality - I love decorating. It just seems funner for Fall. This week I tried my first wood sign with vinyl and did my first video tutorial which will be at the bottom of the blog. Also, you can win your own sign simply by subscribing here. If you're already a subscriber, you're already entered. Woo hoo. Thank you subscribers.

Here's what you need for your rustic wood sign (you will need a personal cutter such as a Cricut or Scan & Go (this tutorial assumes you already know how to work with your cutter):

1. Pumpkin Wood Sign - you can get one by clicking below or at Hobby Lobby.

2. Orange Paint (I used Jack O Lantern Orange) or color of choice;

3. Paintbrush;

4. Vinyl in red, black, orange, and color of choice for name & "Hello Fall"; and,

5. Transfer tape.

6. SVG cut file of the red truck - you can find the one I used here for free!!

You can either watch the video or just follow my written instructions. The first thing you want to do is either go to Cricut Design Space or other cutting software to layout your project. I used the red truck Creative Fabrica for my truck. For the entire cut file minus the red truck, you can find it here. You just simply need to upload the red truck of your choice and add it to the canvas.

1. Paint your pumpkin or wood sign the color of your choice. I used jack o lantern orange. I covered the entire surface and sides. Set it aside to dry.

2. Go into Cricut Design Space and pull up the premade file which you can find at: https://design.cricut.com/#/design/71596719. Or click here. Upload the red truck of your choice, or use one that Cricut offers. Put in your name. Then hit "make it" and follow the cutting instructions.

3. After your pieces have been cut - do your weeding.

4. Take your transfer tape and and lay it over the top of your truck. Burnish and remove the truck from it's backing onto the transfer tape. Turn it over and put your tires where they go, then the pumpkins in the back of the truck. Your transfer tape should have your truck, the pumpkins, and tires.

5. Put Happy Fall & Your Name on their own sections of transfer tape.

6. Take your vinyl pieces over to your wood and place them where you want them to be on the wooden sign. Use your burnishing tool to get the vinyl to transfer to the wood. Gently and slowly pull off your transfer tape.

7. You're done! You've got yourself a great rustic wooden sign using the popular Red Truck!! Display it proudly!!

Not too crafty, but you want your own? You could win it by subscribing to my blog. Subscribe here. I'll announce the winner on next week's blog (current subscribers are already registered).
