There's an Oil for that: Beginner's Guide to Essential Oils - GIVEAWAY!!!

My husband is always telling me, and really believes, that everything that the cure for everything that ails us can be found in nature. He believes God has given us everything that we need and synthetic drugs found in Western Medicine, while helpful and sometimes necessary, just treat the symptoms and not the problem. I'm beginning to agree with him. About ten years ago his blood work from a routine physical showed high cholesterol. His doctor put him on a statin. He was miserable. He had every side effect and stomach pain so awful it required a trip to the ER (and if you know Dave - you know he needs to be bleeding out of his eyeballs to go to the ER).

After researching natural remedies, he ditched the statins (I'm not advocating ditching your meds) and started taking red yeast rice twice a day. At his follow up with his doctor, his numbers came back amazing - like that of a healthy 20 year old. His doctor said, "the statins did the trick." Dave told him he had to stop taking the statin and the results were from taking red yeast rice. Ten years later, and he still has great numbers.

About a year ago we had a friend introduce us to Essential Oils. Since childhood I've experienced debilitating leg aches. When I was growing up, it was attributed to growing pains (I haven't grown since fifth grade - LOL). Seriously, they persisted and persist today. As I've grown older, I can always feel them coming, and if I can get in a hot bath, get a heating pad on them, or get in front of a heat source - it can ward them off. Sometimes that won't be enough so I move to a prescription strength NSAID, and then to the big boys of opioids. When I lived in Pittsburgh in my 20's, where the winters are cold and wet, there were many nights sleeping on the bathroom floor in front of the wall heater. Fast forward 20 more years, and they are even worse. There have been days when it has taken me hours to be able to walk. I've tried everything, been tested for most types of arthritis, restless leg, etc. It's just something I've had and will always have.

Then there were other minor ailments that I'd ask Lorragenia about and sure enough there's an oil for that. Nearly every time I've used it, it's worked. So, I'm sold on Essential Oils. As I learn more about them, the more I like them. In my quest to find out more about them and how they work, I've put together these handy charts to help with Essential Oils, and I thought I'd share them. Most of the info I have found from the DoTerra website or I made the charts myself or used other sources on the Internet.

Also, as you can see, I've used information from DoTerra as these are the oils I'm familiar with and use. However, there are other great Essential Oil companies out there. The key is to find companies who do not dilute, use pharmaceutical grade, are reputable, and harvest their oils in an ethical and sustainable manner.

I'm also giving away an Essential Oils carrier bag like the one below. Simply subscribe to win. Already a subscriber? Share, post on pinterest, etc. - you're already entered. Thanks so much!
